Q. Am I a good candidate for plastic surgery?
Whether you’re  a male or female with a good health and realistic expectation, you’re a good candidate for plastic surgery.
Q. How do I choose the right place to perform my plastic surgery?
Choosing the right place to perform your plastic surgery reduces the risk level and complication chances, criteria based on several factors: an ideal facility should have : blook bank, ICU, dedicated anesthesia team and convenient inpatient suites for post operations.

Q. Can I breastfeed after breast augmentation surgery?

Breast Implants are placed in pockets below or above the breast muscles away from the milk glands, thus you can continue breast feeding after the scars are healed.

Approximately 95% of women should be able to breastfeed after undergoing breast augmentation surgery, However women who undergo breast lift or breast reduction may have increased risk of loss of lactation due to the cutting of lactation ducts.

Q. What is the difference between cosmetic and reconstructive surgery?

Reconstructive surgery is performed on abnormal structures of the body, caused by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors or disease.

Cosmetic surgery is performed to reshape normal structures of the body, usually to improve form and appearance.

Q. I’m skinny, can I want to do Brazilian butt lift?
After consultation, your doctor will determine how much fat you have available for liposuction, and accordingly identify donating areas in your body.
Q. Can I get pregnant after abdominoplasty?
We advise that you wait at least six months after surgery before getting pregnant
Q. Where do I stay after the surgery?
For minor surgeries, you can discharge on the same day, for major surgeries patients stay 24-48 hours in our vip inpatient suites.
Q. What are the possible risks associated with plastic surgery?
In most cases, risks are minor or completely absent, but like any like any other type of surgeries,  plastic surgery  carries the risk of wounds infection, proper wound care and hygiene can minimize or prevent an infection.
Q. How long do I have to wear a garment after liposuction?
You should put on the garment 2 weeks to 3 months after liposuction, period differs from lypo procedure to another.
Q. Do I have to change breast implants after breast augmentation surgery?

Q. When scars associated with plastic surgery will disappear?

Rhinoplasty and facelift scars fades out gradually and barely visible weeks after the surgery, Tummy tuck and lifting scars takes up to 1 year to get nearly visible.However all plastic surgery scars are positioned in less visible areas (below the nose tip, behind the ears, crease marks, bikini line)At QMC Skin care dept. we have different types of  therapies using the latest techniques to treat scars and after surgery marks.

Q. Does plastic surgery hurt?
It really depends on the procedure.  If you are talking about surgery, the patient will be under anesthesia during the procedure. Once the anesthesia wears off, yes, you'll feel it. The doctor will give you a prescription of painkiller to help you through the next couple of days. You'll feel as much pain as with any other surgery.
Q. How long will my results last?

Breast augmentation results can last for a lifetime, however after 15 years implants begin to harden and replacement might take place.

Breast reduction surgeries are usually permanent for women under 40.

Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) results are permanent if you maintained a healthy lifestyle

Surgical facelift results can last up to 15 years.

Q. When can I resume normal activities?
It depends on the procedure and the person himself, recovery period ranges between 1-6 weeks after surgery.
Q. Plastic surgery is not covered by insurance, what are my other financial facilities?

Q. What is Anti-wrinkle injections and how it works?
Anti-wrinkle injections is a highly purified injectable toxin that slows muscular contractions, which temporarily erases or reduces horizontal forehead lines, vertical frown lines, and crow's-feet.
Q. What’s the Ideal Age to start injecting Anti-wrinkle injections?
You shouldn’t wait for the wrinkles to appear to start using Anti-wrinkle injections, it’s best to start at 35 to 40.
Q. When I will start seeing results?
Results may vary, but you will start noticing results 48 hours up to 2 weeks after injection.

Q. How long do transplanted hair last?
In most cases hair transplant lasts for a life time, in few cases some transplanted hair may be lost due to aging.
Q. Does the hair transplant procedure hurt?
The procedure is done under local anesthetic, some patient feel little discomfort after the procedure and might need to take medication.
Q. How often should I go to the dentist?
Don’t wait for the problem to occur, visit your dentist regularly every 6 months, early detection can detect a cavity before it develops and prevent a root canal treatment
Q. What are the prevention procedures other than brushing?
Brushing your teeth gets rid of some of the bacteria in your mouth, but flossing gets rid of the bacteria the toothbrush can't get to and thus
Q. What is the ideal age to apply orthodontic?
Orthodontic treatment can start at any age, but treatment at early ages is easier since the jaw growth is still in progress.
Q. What is the difference between veneers & Lumineers?
The main difference between veneers and Lumineers is the amount of tooth preparation that is required when placing them. Veneers are a permanent dental solution that requires some removal of the tooth's enamel before being placed, Lumineers does not require any preparation of the tooth. Lumineers are simply bonded into place.
Q. What is an IVF or Assisted Reproduction Clinic?
It is a medical unit specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility problems, which has highly qualified staff and the latest technologies. In the case of fertility problems you should visit a specialized gynecologist as infertility problems are complex and include tests which are not performed in regular gynecological offices.
Q. Does age influence the chance of pregnancy?
Pregnancy chances are higher for women younger than 35. Women between 35 and 38 are accepted for the treatment but they will have lower pregnancy chances.
Q. How often should you have sexual relation in order to get pregnant?
Once the egg has left the ovary it survives for approximately 48 hours and it is only during this time that it can be fertilized by the spermatozoa, which have a fertilizing power of a maximum of 72 hours. In any case, it is better not to become obsessed with controlling ovulation, as anxiety to achieve gestation is counterproductive, and can even be detrimental to the couple’s relationship.
Q. What can you do to help increase your chances of getting pregnant?
Women can increase their chances of getting pregnant by quitting smoking, limit their caffeine intake and exercises moderately. They should also avoid being overweight or extremely underweight and taking drugs which have not been prescribed by their doctors. For men, they should avoid body building drugs, exercise moderately and quit smoking. They should also avoid exposure to high temperatures that can occur in hot baths and sauna, which can lead to temporary effects on sperm count and motility.
Q. When do you need to turn to a gynecologist specializing in reproduction?
After a year of regular sexual intercourse with no pregnancy, you can start to suspect the presence of some kind of problem. The intercourse should obviously be totally unprotected. It is advisable to start seeing a specialist in reproduction as soon as possible if you are over the age of 35 years or you are not satisfied with the care offered by a general gynecologist or family practitioner. Please remember to get all the results of previous tests or treatment done and bring with you.
Q. What are Assisted Conception Treatments?
There are mainly two types of assisted conception: Intrauterine or “Artificial Insemination” and in-vitrofertilization (IVF) treatment. Any of these can be done without stimulation of the ovaries (natural) or with ovarian stimulation.

Q. Will breast augmentation increase breast cancer risk?
Breast implants do not effect or delay breast cancer detection, also studies had proven that breast implants does not increase the risk of getting breast cancer.

Breast lift does not increase the existing breast size, however it is very common to include breast augmentation along with breast lift surgery.

It’s similar if you are having a sinus or headache, you will some under eyes bruising which is usually gone within a week.
Q. When rhinoplasty stiches are removed?
Stitches are removed about a week after the procedure.
Q. When the swelling will disappear and final result is achieved?
Swelling disappears within few weeks, and final result is achieved 3-6 months after surgery.
