It really depends on the procedure.  If you are talking about surgery, the patient will be under anesthesia during the procedure. Once the anesthesia wears off, yes, you’ll feel it. The doctor will give you a prescription of painkiller to help you through the next couple of days. You’ll feel as much pain as with any other surgery.
